israel was created by the united nations, so the palestian beef should be with the u.n. not the jews, they dont have world support, no one is sending tropps to help their fight, no one is sending money, israel could crush them if they so choose to, so if they cant not win, it would seem to make sense to accept their own state with what ever israel is willing to give them, get their own state started, build the economy, take care of the people, build a military, gain world respect and support, live in peace with israel, build up ties between the 2 countries, then negociate for land concessions down the road, but at least get started on building something, killing off a few civialians is not working to well. if you go back to the 1967 war, israel won a war against the whole middle east, and it only took them 6 days to do it, so the palestinians should realize that if the entire middle east could not beat them, they have no shot, how stupid are these people anyway

Well, the problem started way back in the day... well, actually it happened twice.

Father Abraham had a wife- Sarah. She couldn't have children, so she asked Abraham to sleep with the maid, Hagaar. If Hagaar had a baby, it would be counted to Sarah's honor... Well, Hagaar did have a baby, named Ishmael (father of the Arab nations)

Then Sarah had her own baby- Isaac. Isaac grew up and got married to Rebecca. She eventually became pregnant, with twins! Well everything Isaac had should have gone to the first-born of the twins- Esau (father of the Palestinian People). But Esau was very into instant gratification, and traded his inheritance to Jacob for a bowl of food.

This sale of the inheritance (birthright) was probably done as a joke by Jacob, the younger twin, but when their father, Isaac became old and actually gave the birthright to the boys, he accidentally gave the full inheritance to Jacob. When he realized his mistake, Isaac could have legally changed his mind, taking it from Jacob and giving it to Esau... But he didn't. So since then, the decendants of Esau have felt that Jacob's decendants cheated them out of what was rightfully theirs.

Because of this, the Palestinians still feel picked on. They feel that the Israelite nation owes them... and sadly, the feud has been going on since.

I suspect that some Palestinians have forgotten at least part of this story- the fact that in those days, the father of the household was king and ruler, had power of life and death over everyone in the household. If Isaac had wanted to, he could have had Esau killed, or worse- sold as a slave, and that would have been COMPLETELY legal...

They are not stupid they are just confused. They have a bad habit of thinking about something other than what they are doing. They try to use one framework of logic to accomplish all things and it just doesn't work that way.

It seems that the Palestinians stand to benefit more from peace than from war, it's true. However, there are religous feelings in the way.

That is reality, my friend. People become stupid and narrow-minded in the face of reality. Be happy we are not living there. Treasure what you have.
