That's so funny I thought of that myself (just got braces off) Since they sew your mouth shut when your dead, you lips would protrude. So I think the family would want them off. (I know, gross) but if it were a closed casket, it wouldn't matter. That would be a funny lookin skeleton!!

I've heard if you get cremated, they take all the metal out of your teeth, whether its fillings or braces, beforehand. Probably if its requested otherwise.
