There is nothing wrong with any race, creed, color or culture.
There is something wrong with people the think they are better than someone else based on race, creed, color or culture.
Sometimes its a cultural misunderstanding, sometimes it is rudeness and sometimes it is just plain racism. Unless you know the exact situation it can be hard tell in a snap judgment situation. I am white and have been playing the guitar for 36 years. So why did I hear things like " white guys can't play the blues"? I have been beat up because I was white too so this not just some idle speculation, it has a real impact. I grew up in the projects in San Francisco so this was not a one time time. Still I don't think that most people are racist. I think that most people are bit self centered and when things get wrong or rude they blame the other person because that is easier that admitting that they could have done better or been politer or more understanding. Stereotyping is the easy way to catalog people. It is a lot harder if you try to treat everyone as an individual. Try it .... don't think of the people you meet are a white person or an Asian or a black or a whatever .... think of everyone of them as a person that might be your friend someday. Yeah .... that could be some hard work .... but maybe ... just maybe it might be worth it

People like that limit themselves so much I almost feel sorry for them. Everyone wants to think they're a little bit more special than everyone else. Is'nt it sad when all someone can come up with is skin pigment or lack of it? I grew up in a town that was 49%asian and 48% hispanic. I'm kinda a peach toned mutt but I loved it. The food was awesome and the neighbors were great. I wish everyone could have an experiance like that and I wish every "minority" would be treated as good as I was.

I disagree with racism. I also disagree with class-ism, or general snobbish intolerance. You'd think certain, supposedly not *idiotic* people, of a certain age, would know better, than to be so petty and cutting. At least you darlin, "still wanna hear". Some of us needa clean out our earwax, look beyond our noses, and take things in the spirit they were intended. I'm so tired of nasty answers on this forum. I mean what IS the point??
Sorry-- got a little sidetracked! I think you're dead right hon, and I think you show more backbone, and independant thinking than a lot of other people, who definitely are "trippin". Good for you. :)

Roxy, we all start out as equals, but things begin to change right away. Your gibberish (journey) proves you got left behind! Also you all tend to believe racism is out of ignorance, stupidity, redneck, and hatred. In order to preserve racial integrity, it is necessary to keep the races separated. Just look at the animal kingdom -- how do you think a Quarter Horse will produce another Quarter Horse? Or a Mallard Duck will produce another Mallard Duck? Villa, shame on you. Lilly, read some literature girl!. Be proud of who you are, and stop knocking others for who you are not.

I am black and would like to say that you are doing my race a disservice. You see we appreciate you likeing us but we dont appreciate your english skills and typing. A couple misspelled words here and there are okay but come on.
Anyway, yes sometimes people "do be trippin" but on behalf of my race and anyone who has felt that they were aparty to racism...just know that the world is getting better everyday for those of us who have more common sense then those idiots.

Although many here just won't agree with me I am not racist. I just want every country to preserve its unique culture. when there are different cultures all together in the long run there will remain nothing of the respective original traditions (etc, i.e. culture) Mixing also destroys our ancestors genes. I don't wish to end up in a world where everyone looks the same.

People are people, thier going to think what they want to think and do what they want to do. It doesn't matter on thier race or religion or anything. If you really want to complain about racism then your just as bad. Yea it sucks that its a war between whites and every other nationality, but complaining about it and not trying to rise above it and do something about it, like not adding specific things to your questions. Be accepting of all and only have negative feelings for those people who have actually done something to or against you, don't hate everyone in that race because not everyone of those races hates people in other races. Your question implies that all white people hate black people, and that is not true.

Grl dont even pay atten to da ole fart, I live in da yay area too and I kno racism, I aint got nuttin against blks, asians, nor whts, but why it is that they alwayz got somthin gainst my kind (latinos) well not really the blks but u kno I think us and blks can relate were not liked very much in this so called "wht world" And don't understand why most of them think they are superior then most races, what they got like extra powers or somethin or like extra ribs and more organs, they just like the rest of us we all bleed the same color and I think they should look at us all like equals. Thas what I think.

Why do people asking about racism always think its directed towards black people??? I have absolutely nothing against black people, nothing at all. Yet a lot of them treat me like **** because im white. you know how many times ive heard a white person or myself be called a "cracker"??? you think thats not racism??? before you deal out judgement or feel sorry for yourself, its always best to look in the mirror and judge yourself first...

In my opinion I thing racist people are ignorant. All people are the same. I don't care what the color of a person's skin is. If you cut a person of a different color, the blood will be red. There are high quality people of color, just like there are high quality people of non-color. There is also low and in between quality of people of both color and non-color. Everyone has feelings, and emotions. Life is too short to hate one another just because of the color of their skin or the part of the world they live in.
