You have to accept yourself for who you are- All of your good traits and bad. Nothing external will make you feel better (ie- having a boyfriend or lots of friends will not help).

I personally think surrounding yourself with people that are worth while is a VERY good way to build your confidence. It may be a short list, but you need to find out who really cares for you, including your boyfriend and try to discover something about yourself in the process. Looking for yourself is hard when you have a ton of outside influence.
I'm speaking from personal experience here. I've been on a two year dry spell, by choice. I'm much happier hanging out with my friends than I am trying to gain the status that I could easily have in my school.
I wish you the best of luck and hope that you sort yourself out.

Everyone has insecurities about themselves, but you just need to look at what is good about yourself. Neither a significant other nor friends can change this, but they can support you. Find someone you trust and talk to them about it. A close friend does help, though the change has to come from the inside.

Find happyness within yourself, discover Serenity. It seems like you worry too much about how others perceive you- you should focus on living a life that makes you happy and proud and not worrying so much about the rest.

Sweety, if you figure this one out let me know. I know that alot of men would have me but I can't stop thinking that my hubby is just with because of some other reason other than that he actually loves me. I don't know how one could get over such an insecurity. Best wishes

first of all you catagorized yourself as "popular" which means your conceided, so change that 1st before anything and yo man needs to pretend to be lower than you in order for you to feel insacure, just love yourself for who you are... dont let what other's think of you effect you in any way!!!

Make a list of things you like about yourself and try to add a few items to it everyday.

do not worry about what other people think. do what makes you comfortable and remember to help the less fortunate. never gossip about others and make sure others know you do not want them coming to you with gossip. you will become more trustworthy
