There is absolutely no way to tell if a guy is gay by an outward appearance. I have seen people that I would have bet my house they were gay, and then I found out they were married happily to women. Could be a cover I dont know!?!? Also there have been guys that are so straight acting that I would have never guessed that they were gay.
Asking a guy if he is gay also doesn't always get you the right answer, for fear of repercussions. Also what are your reasons for wanting to know if a guy is gay? Are you wanting to get serious with someone? If so just get to know them, and you will probably find out their motives very quickly.

Tough one to guess, he mightn't know himself - or might not be willing to give up the option of having kids & a wife.
You can be pretty sure if he tells you. If he tells everyone, then, yup, he's gay, and knows it.
But - If he's married with kids & doesn't like sex; If he spends the night and does nothing more than kiss; If he doesn't get bored while you are clothes-shopping; If all his friends are female, except one; If he wears fake-tan and isn't on TV; If he has to get drunk to have sex with a woman - OK, then he might be gay.
If he likes to wear women's clothes & make-up, he might only be a straight transvestite, and still prefer women.

Ask him would be the best way to find out.
Not all of us are equipped with "Gay-dar" but those of us who do have it usually have a suspicion but as with all radars, somethings fly below the normal range.
There is no absolute way to know unless you see him having sex with another man, or he tells you himself.
How do you know a guy is Heterosexual? You don't know do you? You just assume he is. Same with Gay men. they are MEN and their sexual preference does NOT define who they are.

If you are a girl and he never wants to get ,(close) to you, if he prefers being around the guys, if he acts too feminine, if all he talks about are men, boys, jocks, etc. if he cries too easily and acts like a little woman, if he likes to wear, look, and act feminine, if he talks a lot about AIDS, GAYS, BODY BUILDERS, JOCKS, etc. And most of all, IS HE HAVING SEX WITH MEN!!!!!!!

He usually will want to sleep with other men , He will be very fashion conscious , He will be appearance conscious , He will not be interested in sex with women , He will usually turn and look when a guy walks by that he finds attractive , He will usually be very neat and clean in his appearance and his home .
