I see your smiling face almost everyday
and i wish this feeling could always stay
when i lay to sleep i hold my pillow tight
wishing it was you that held me everynight
but alas i must askhow can i love you
when i know these feelingscant be true
i just wish that we could spend more time together
and if this were true we would share our lives forever
this fire i feel i just cant take anymore
when i gaze into your eyes they drill to my core
so all i can do is smile and think of my fantasy
only to pray that one day you will be with me.

this is a poem my husband wrote and it just seems so weird that he says it doesnt mean anything because all his poems that i have read all have some type of meaning tohim.so i m just looking to see what other people think about this.ans thnks to those who give me some feed back

Honestly, it sounds like he wrote it for someone he wants to be with. Like he has a girlfriend on the side. Re-read the last 2 lines. He smiles and thinks of his fantasy and prays one day they'll be together. Maybe you should ask him again what it means.

sounds like you are trying to escape a relationship where he doesn't see you or know you exist. Maybe you're together but you wish he was around more. Its like you know he's bad for you but you don't care and you're subconsciously hurting yourself over it.
