Suzuki DR 350 9000 miles on it mostyly commuting. Is this considered High Milage? What sort of repairs might be in order?

The DR 350 was noted for cam chain problems, the guides wear out and the tensioner can't take up the slack. The basic engine design is very good and with proper care will last a long time, 9000 miles is not bad if it was all road use. I would have someone familiar with that model inspect it before you were to purchase it though. I just rebuilt a '99 DR200 engine that blew from the throttle being stuck open after a crash, the cylinder still had the crosshatch marks in it at 25000 miles.

20,000 miles on any bike is considered to be high by some. But with careful maintenance the 9000 bike you are looking at should be fine. IF it was not hammered in the woods!
