I don't think I have ever "chosen" a friend. Making a friend is kind of like acquiring a habit, it sneaks up on me. I meet someone, if we click, then it grows, then the next thing you know you miss them when they aren't around. I have had friends who were somewhat like me, and I have had friends who were so different that eventually we got on each others nerves.

Not completely different. Some differences and some similarities. Agreeing with me all the time make me annoying. It also gives 1 person too much power over other. Differences are fun. Broaden focus.

I was just wondering this today. All my friends are so different and I love them for different reasons. Most of them are unlike me. I think this is because my sister is very like me and can be very annoying. Other types of people seem more interesting.

I have a mixture of both, my really good friends the ones you tell anything too, are more like me, the other friends (the ones you are more less friendly with) are totally opposite, though I do have one good friend who is totally opposite me? So who knows?

I don't even think about that when making new friends. I make friends and like them for a variety of factors and that does include not being like me at all.
