If you know a good and inexpensive way to exfoliate or know how to make a homemade one, could you put that here too? do i wash my face before or after exfoliating with my regular cleanser? I use neutragena deep facial cleanser. And how often do i exfoliate?

Exfoliation deals with removal of dead derm(skin). This helps the skin getting back its natural glow as well as natural softness.

Ingredients for a homemade exfoliation pack
50 percent white cane sugar
50 percent vegetable glycerin to moisten the sugar (I used avocado oil since I was out of vegetable glycerin
small amounts of aloe vera gel, vitamin C crystals, or anything healing that dissolves in water
1 or two drops of essential oil if desired ( recommended combining orange and lavender)
enough ground hibiscus powder for pink color (if desired)
Combine the ingredients in a bowl. Scoop some of the scrub onto your hand and massage gently onto your skin for a minute (the scrub will actually tighten onto your skin like a masque). Leave on for 3 to 4 minutes before rinsing
I started on my face, and my skin felt so baby soft that the skin on my neck felt like sandpaper, so I needed to use the sugar scrub there, and on and on.
Use twice a week.hope its works wonders for you as it did to me :)

Exfoliating removes the dead skin cells. Use a very gentle face scrub. You have to be careful while exfoliating your skin though because if you use a harsh exfoliant then it will make small abrasions in your skin (that you cant feel or see) that dirt and oil can get into which will make your skin worse and break out so find something very gentle. If you must exfoliate then you can do it once a week. I only exfoliate maybe once a month when I feel like my face wash isn't doing so much. You may even try some of the exfoliating cloths instead of the microbeads.

Exfoliating removes the top layer of dry, dead skin cells. Taking it off shows the younger, smoother, softer skin you have. Dead skin cells can clog pores and cause breakouts. But I have heard that exfoliating can damage your skin even though you can't see it. The beads scrap your skin sometimes. I would exfoliate about 2,3 times a week. A homemade way you can do it is: Take some almond or olive oil and put sugar in it. None of those oils clog your pores and the sugar naturally take the dead skin cells off your face. Most face scrubs have beads in it that exfoliate. Or at least ones for acne do. I'm 15 so that's the only kind I would ever use. Try the sugar scrub it rocks! You can buy almond oil at a health food store if they don't have it where you shop. And all grocery stores carry olive oil. Good luck!

Exfoliation removes dead skin cells and brightens your complexion. Wash and cleanse beforehand and use small circular motions. St Ives do a good one and about once a week should be enough. Alternatively a lot of facial washes now have built-in exfoliators

Exfoliating removes dead skin. There are plenty of face washes that exfoliate and clean at the same time.

Both are good for you, each fruit/vegetable has different vitamins. And so as more variety, as better. Vegetables have generally less sugar than fruits.
