He either meant what he said or was just too shy to say it in front of your friend. Next time ask him yourself so you can get a straight answer.

Will a guy admit to a girl's best friend if he likes you?
No, if you want to know if h likes you then interact with him in the safety of a small group maximum of 4 people (2 guys 2 girls). see Haw he interacts with you if you like the vibe he is giving off then go out lunch as friends and see how it goes.
The key thing here is don't get all weird and start to interrogate him or be overeager. If he likes you he will sow it if he feels he is in a safe enough environment to do so.
You mentioned he said it in a nervous way, this is just what your friend said to you. You need to take my advice.
You cannot speculate you you get closer and investigate .

i think he just doesnt want to admit it but why would he be nervose if he said just like a friend he probeby does have feelings for u but doest know how to express them and a guy might not express there feelings toward the girls best friend but i dont know only a guy would?

I think you should just ask him yourself. You only live once, doll, so live it well. Chances are, he would tell you the truth to your face if you just asked him.And even if he does only like you as a friend, it's better than nothing, right? Right.
I don't think that all guys will tell a girl's best friend that he likes her. But it depends on the guy I guess.

NO!!!!! How nerve racking is it for a guy to Emmit to a girl's best friend that he likes her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Because he then know that that girl's best friend is going to tell her, and he is afraid of rejection, aren't all of us afraid of that?????? If he says it nervously there is a big chance that he likes you. Just ask him. It never hurts to ask. If he says know just said that you heard some rumors that he likes you. If he says yes then go for it!!!!!! Don't ask him around his friends, Try to catch him when he is alone. If you can't. Tell him that you need to talk to him. If he is a gentleman then he will leave what he is doing to talk to you......unless its his job........Tell him how you feel.......be sure to practice in front of the mirror......sounds stupid, right? But it works.

ok first, if soemone doesnt know the asnwer to thias question then why do you write "i dont know" wasting this girls time. i dont think he likes you because obvisouly he knows the best friend is the one who goes out and does the dirty work, unless she is lying about the repsonse for some reason which i doubt, so he knows your best friend will report back to you and i guess he doesnt like you back, im sorry.

i think that sometimes a boy will tell the girls best friend if they like the girl. but from my own experience i have noticed that the guy usually likes for the girl to come up to him herself and tell him. boys dont like playing those games. so maybe you should go up to him yourself and let him know that you like him and strike up a conversation and maybe even get a number. :]

if a guy says "as a freind" but is nervous about it. that means he likes you. and being found out is a hard thing for him. be the agressor. try that. and here is a little secret. if a guy says something he usually means it. men are dumb. all of them. were not deep creatures, constantly dealing with emotions. because we don't keep them bottled up. we say what we mean. if we say nothing is wrong, 90% nothing is wrong.
