I recently used this as answer to a question on where to find blond jokes, and went on to inquire: are you aware that they are as exactly bigoted, prejudiced, and as inflammatory as any other racist joke? Can you begin to understand the reason society is so accepting of these type of jokes? It really serves to incite the continual demeaning of ALL women!!! What I have an intense difficulty understanding is that society will no longer accept Black, Polish, or Cripple jokes, but are quick to validate a Blond joke with a hearty laugh. In addition, a majority of the offenders who perpetuate the violation of women's rights for equality and humanity with shameful condemnation of intelligence based solely on the color of ones hair, are from the same gender association. When will women unite and become the sisterhood it was designed to be?
Do any of you have anything to add?

For those of you who are annoyed or bored with my zeal for equal rights for women... I apologize for the intrusion on your sense of humor. I do understand that you are unable to see the whole picture of the injury caused by these types of jokes when both genders are earning $5.25 an hour working at the local burger palace!!!

Its true, having blond jokes is awful. Ok, so we have to admit that the context of the joke is funny, but if we are looking at the subject, it is downright derogatory to be implementing such demeaning images and attitudes of a blond person. People have adopted these jokes and have formed real impression of what a blond person does or thinks. Does the type of hair make a person stupid?? I clearly think not. Hair does not make you any better or any worse than anyone. The brain and its capabilities determine how smart or dumb someone is. If what is said about blonds is true, then, blonds would not have been accepted to Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Stanford, Oxford, or other high level institutions, and neither would they have survived. But there have been smart blonds in the society, who have achieved so much and has made a positive impact in the lives of others. So what happen to brunettes and redheads? Why no joke? Clearly, the blonds have been totally segregated and mistreated. This is prejudice, and unless we stop stigmatizing people, then it can be detrimental to many person's reputation in the future. All persons are equal, irrespective to colour of skin, or hair, or where someone was born or their socio-economic status. What varies is how someone applies themselves in life...... and THAT IS MOST IMPORTANT!

Lighten up.
Listen to Julie Brown's "'Cause I'm a Blond" ... among the gibes ("I'd just like to say that being chosen this month's Miss August is an honor I'll remember as long as I can. I'm a freshman in my fourth year at UCLA and I'm studying to be a veterinarian 'cause I love children.") there are some pretty sharp observations about men, women, sexuality, success, the "talent" industry, and life.
Mostly, though, folks like to laugh at those with "powers beyond those of mortal" whatevers. So take the jokes as a compliment.

Just based on the stereotype.

Though they may be rude they aren't as harmful as Black, Polish, or crippled jokes. Blondes haven't as a group gone through tramatic and/or history changing events

I like blonde jokes because i like to laugh at others expense as they like to laugh at mine. It's human nature and nothing we say or do will cause racism or segregation to go away untill interacial sexual relations continue to the point where there is only one race from all the mixing.

Then we'll probably figure out differences in people from there so i guess it will never go away.

No..nothing against blondes.

Blonde jokes are just that. Jokes.

So whenever I need a laugh and I happen to be reading a blonde joke its because I find it funny.

As far as blonde jokes go, people know they are jokes. Many a rich, famous blonde exist in this world. Also, the majority of blondes got that way by bleaching or dying their hair.

I love redneck jokes--and with them too, people know they are joking.

ok, good to hear you rant. Um, here's the thing.
The majority of blonds I meet are pretty dumb, I've got to admit. I've met a couple who are smart. So...there is a bit of truth to that stereotype.
