If it's the nightlife that you are looking for, Metro Atlanta in general. I really doesn't matter what part of Atlanta (since most of the night spots are easily accesible). Do you know where you will work? If so, I would recommend moving near wherever you are going to work. The commute here can be hell during rush hour.

I love Savannah, if you are looking for a smaller town Augusta was nice
