That is hard to say. I have watched horror flicks since I was 6 years old. The very first horror movie I watched was in black and white, "Dracula" (1931) starring Bela Lugosi, the second one I watched was " The hound of the Baskervilles" (1959)
I think one of my favorite horror movies would be '"American werewolf in London" (1981) the other choice would be " Silver Bullet" (1985) by Stephen King. So far, I haven't seen a 'scary' horror flick.

Salem's Lot, starring David Soul & James Mason. This was only a TV movie, but director Tobe Hooper created a masterpice. Halloween & the 1931 Frankenstein ar also great!

The best horror movies are the ones made in the 80's. Like Night mare on elm street or Friday the 13th. I still have nightmares that i am on elm street and i am 26.
