i have a code i need broken can anyone plz help!?

the code is:
1 to the 2nd power

4 to the 2nd power , 7 to the 2nd power , 6 to the 3rd power, 5

5 to the 2nd power , i

b , 15 to the 2nd power , 1 to the 2nd power , 4 to the 2nd power, i

i dont know if they are acutally powers but that is how it is written looks like four words

ok all im new hear so bear with me but here issome more details about the code i guess it is on the 26 letter alphabet he said something about it being divided into three parts and the last two were roman numerials and it is based on a cube system i dont know if that helps any actually i think im more confused than before thx for the comments

I'm trying to work on this. So you are saying you have something like the following:

1² 4²7²6³5 5²i b15²1²4²i

And you are trying to figure out what the code means. I've been trying some basic things like assuming a=1, b=2, etc. but nothing is working. Can you give us any more hints like where you got the code from, whether it was for a certain class, etc.?

Edit: I figured it out! It says "I LOVE MY FAMILY"

First, I think you meant to put a six (6) where you have b.

Now use the grid I created below:

Find the digit by going across the columns, then go down to the appropriate power. If there is no power it is the letter in the first row. If it is squared (²) then use the second row. If it is cubed (³) it will be in the third row. Y is a special case and is i. I don't know what Z is... it might be i², ii, v or x but we don't know without an example.

Anyway, using the diagram you have:
1² = I

4² = L
7² = O
6³ = V
5 =E

5² = M
i = Y

6 = F
1 = A
5² = M
1²= I
4² = L
i = Y

The answer is: "I LOVE MY FAMILY!"
