NO NO NO You have to be a resident of that state to purchase any firearm. The only exception to that rule is if you are in the military and reside in the state you want to purchase a firearm you may do so by showing your current ID for the sate you reside in and military ID.

+1 for Taz. Even attempting what you're talking about is a felony. Handguns can only be purchased in your state of residence. Long guns may or may not be able to be purchased in adjacent states, depending on your state's laws.

No. You can't take firearms across state lines. than it becomes a felony!
With exceptions to military and law enforcement
