I think you went the wrong way. Let me explain why. First of all, who told you, that 11 year old kid, very mature, as you put it, would be listening to the downloads from the Internet? And why should he(she)? If you consider to punish (?!) that kid, why don't you choose less cruel methods? I am very sorry if what I have said hurts your feelings, but you are not on the right path!! Think it over, before it's too late!!!

You should try some classics like the Beatles, Miles Davis and Stevie Wonder's old stuff.

Then expose yourself to new culture and expand your mind with world music. Putomayo is a great record label for that, and you can get free CDS to try at the library!

Have you checked out Jack Johnson's Curious George CD? It's very good! I like the music on it and I'm a lot older than you. My favorite is upside down.

You could also check out music by Hilary Duff and Kelly Clarkson.

sorry... I don't have anything to suggest if you aren't into metal or if you want music that is appropriate for an eleven-year-old... I listen to very explicit music for my age... I'm 13 and most of the music I listen to has PA on it... sorry I can't help you...
