will he do the same things to her as he did to me or will she be the one to get him to marry her. he told me he did not want to get married, yet we were together for 6 years. I uncovered who he was (self-centered,emotionally distant etc.) and he did not like it and ended our relationship. Then he became very nasty towards me,like jekyll and hyde, I never knew what he was thinking or what would make him angry. His anger was terrifying-I felt like the devil was inside him. But he was so sweet generally speaking and seemed so calm outwardly.None of his friends have seen this side of him..I had asked him to go on a cruise on Nov. 20th. That was the day he said he wanted our 6 year rlationship to end. But guess what! The week of Easter he took her on a cruise after only dating maybe for 2 months. I thought It was incredibly cruel of him to do that, but he thought absolutely nothing of it. Is that typical of this personality disorder? I can't believe his inability to see this!Am I crazy?

Many times unfortunately with men, they need a good woman like you to "let them see the light", unfortunately (perhaps), you will not be the one to be with him. Miss#2 or perhaps Miss#3 will gain all the benefits of your patience with him. Your goal now should be never to be Miss#1 again when you see a friendship or a relationship never being gratifying to you (you are doing all the giving) it is time to say goodbye. Let this lesson of 6 years be your guide.

I was fooled by a narcissistic man. I married him 8 years ago. I have 2 children with him. I was tricked into giving up my friends, pushing my family away, and little by little became the subservient belittled wife that didn't think I was worthy of any happiness.
Your ex took his new girlfriend on that cruise, & made sure you knew about it, simply to make you feel bad. He is still trying to control you without even being with you. If I were you, I would run like hell. You are so lucky!!! Let me say it again, "You are so LUCKY!!" The devil is inside him.
You deserve someone that will love you for who you are. You should happily and gratefully close the chapter on the last 6 years.
Good luck to you, my friend. I wish I could have been spared the pain and sarrow.

More then likely he will... History usually repeats itself with these kind of guys. Unless he has been to help and counseling for this he will do this again and his anger will come out again someday. Maybe someday he will see he has a problem and go for help to change it but until he sees it for himself he will not get help and he will not change his ways!
