This is the 3rd time I've answered this question; no kidding!
Not all women want or need dysfunctional men. They want a good man believe me. If he can be found, it's someone to hold on to. Same should go for men too. Agree? :o)

It's hard to say when a woman grows up and realize that she's looking at the wrong guys.I'd say that it depends on the woman.If she's mature and logical, then she'll realize it at an early age.If she's a superficial airhead (no offense) then it might take a while for her to wake up.

usually after she's divorced and has kids. problem is, men don't want single moms.
