Actually 96% of all computer users use IE. This makes IE the best browser. Firefox and Opera difficult to setup and use. They are also prone to infections just like IE. The reason they were not infected previously is due to little use. The malware writers didn't want to invest the time and effort to discover the weak areas and write the malware for so few users. Now the are getting bored, because many of the weaknesses of IE have been fixed, and they need to keep busy infecting Firefox, Opera and Macs.

Once you know how to protect yourself from infection, IE is the easiest to use of all the browsers.

I have to give props to the original NCSA Mosaic browser (look it up!), although I do remember when Netscape 1.0 came out and how we were all amazed that it could download more than 1 picture at a time. All subsequent browsers are just poseurs to the originals.

I personally prefer firefox, it's easy to use and doesn't shut down at random like IE does

I think Internet Explorer is the best because of its security and ease of use. I don't like Netscape or any others because they slow down my computer and I don't really care for the Browser customizations.
