It's called relativity because it shows that time and space are relative to the observer, and can be perceived differently from other reference frames.

how is there a collision when every thing at the speed of light is energy? am i thinking of the wrong thing E = MC^2

actually, einstein himself prefers it to be called the invariance theory, on the basis that the speed of light remains constant under all conditions
