why do some people hate horses?

i think they's nice. horses dont mean to hurt ppl. 50000 horse are taken to slaughter houses every year. doesnt that make you feel the teenyest bit sad?

theyre big but they dont mean to hurt ppl. and if you lived in your own crap youd smell bad too!

I'm really sorry about your loss. Most people are afraid of horses more than anything. I had a cousin who was riding and the horse kicked her off and she suffered severe broken bones in the face, but it was an accident, and that's what people don't realize. I think that it's horrible that innocent horses are taken to slaughter houses. I think that they are adorable animals. My 6 year old cousin rides horses twice a week, and takes lessons. If you have proper training, and have a professional with you, accidents usually don't happen. I wish people were more affectionate towards horses. I think they are awesome. And once again, I'm sorry for your loss.

Well, I don't hate them, per se, but I don't really like them.

They have REALLY big mouths & teeth, not to mention all that leg for kicking! They can be sort of intimidating. Oh, yeah, and as far as pets go, I have a hard time cleaning out my cat's litter box. Forget shoveling horse manure!!

Also, I don't like riding something that I don't actually have control over. It's nice that the horse USUALLY does what I want, but who's to say it won't change it's mind at any moment?

I grew up with a sister who had a horse, and she wanted me to love it as much as she did, so horse everything was kinda forced on me. Really, all I wanted was to go play with my Barbie somewhere, or pretend I was a dancer on Solid Gold.

I'm sure you're right, Ginger...Horses are generally peaceful animals who don't want to hurt people. I'm sorry to hear about your loss. It's never pleasant to lose a good friend. <3

I don't hate horses. I think that horses don't take to certain people because it might be something about them that makes them shy away. Also, horses can sense things that humans cant. I'm not saying that everyone who comes into contact with a horse finds them to be mean, I'm just saying that it might be something in a person's "presence " that makes them wary.

the only people that hate horses are those who don't own them!!! i have owned horses my entire 24 years of life and they are the most amazing creatures!! they can relate and sense feeling, and personally make the best pet....though they are harder to keep obviously then a cat or dog.

In my opinion, I don't really like horses because they're large and they smell. Plus, they're scary because like...THEY'RE JUST SO FREAKING BIG. Oddly enough, I'm not afraid of elephants or Dinosaurs. Just horses.

i hate horses. i guess most of it is because i have had bad, embarrassing expierences with them. i don't have any attraction to them. i guess its like how some ppl love seafood, and others can't stand it. different ppl, different tastes.
