What is the one question that, if you knew the answer, would make things clearer? What is it that your really looking for?

You're asking for something which doesn't exist. All philosophical questions are important, and there is no right or wrong answer, because it is,obviously, philosophy. So, in retrospect, there's no such thing as the most important philosophical question. Yes, it is an opinion(I read your question); however, there is so much controversy over what should be right, and what SHOULD be considered right. In essence, nothing is clear , because wherever you have one opinion, am million others will follow, and not everyone is going to agree with you. So, What are we really looking for? Lots of people don't know what they're looking for... They'll find it by what they experience while they are still in the process of discovering themselves.

define your terms- if I knew what people were talking about and that they were talking about the same thing when they are discussing an issue,things would be alot clearer, many times I find people are talking apples and oranges but both or all parties are calling it bananas,
if I knew up front, it would save alot of cofusion or misunderstanding and time
