I wouldn't wait around to find out. What makes him think he can ,basically, tell you to wait on him while he figures how he feels. More importantly, why does he need 30 days. Any man who takes that long to make up his mind must have some sort of mental deficiency. He's extra lame for that. I would dump him.

If he is asking you for 30 day's he is probably the set up for the big dump, and he is probably seeing someone else at the same time. He is playing a game with you and showing you a lack of respect. Best thing for you to do is let him knw that you are not a toy or a game to be played with. Then tell himm you need a 100 yrs to think about things, if you know what I mean.

Interesting that he can put a time-frame on it - usually someone just needs "some time". There's no reason to just wait around for a month to see the outcome - why not date a few other people in the meantime to see if there's someone else you may be compatible with? No reason to date just one at a time - that leaves you open like this to lonely Friday nights.

I think it is only fair that you give him time. After all, he is only asking for time!!
But I guess a time frame as big as 30 days should signal something or someone else in his radar. I would have expected a shorter time, something like "some time".
Him, asking for time, signals that he never expected you to pop the question. ( atleast not this soon )
And two, he wants to revaluate his priorities before commiting himself to you. I talk out of experience.
Respect him for taking the time out but I would say, start moving on after a week or two.
You would not want to regret later.
And for your question, I guess it could mean the Dump.
Cheers!!

RIGHT ON. That would be the big "see-ya." Look at it this way, he chose to take the cowards way out instead of being a real man. You do not ever want a coward or less of a man. You would end up having to carry him (literally) across the muddy, cold river in your high-heels instead of visa-versa.

I need time - I need space: translated means I think I found someone else and I have to see if she is better than you are, BUT, hang around just in case she's not better. Move on, he's not worth the aggravation.

that does not mean that he has dumped you he just don't want to get in to deep and he really not in love with you so just give him his 30 days and see what happens

Sure sounds like it. If he isn't sure after a few months with you, thirty days, isn't going to change that.
Just give up on him and move on, to someone who knows their own mind, and doesn't need his 'space'.
