I have used BOTH T Mobile and Cingular.

While I had Cingular, I had the roll over minutes. Toward the end of 3 years with Cingular, more and more of the roll over minutes were used to save my bill from going over. The service coverage in my area had improved significantly during the 3 years.

When I switched to t-mobile, I got a great deal more minutes per month, so roll-over would not be needed. In fact, I have never reached the old MINUTES maximum, since I had change cell phone use habbits anyway.

But I would have to say that when I am stationary, T-mobile is clearer and the service seems more reliable. But the coverage area around my state is not anywhere near as good as Cingular.

In general, I sacraficed some calling area coverage to get more minutes that I do not use. The service seems a bit better.

I was not unhappy with the technical support that I got from Cingular. But I have not needed any help with T-mobile.

For certain, I would look carefully at the T-mobile coverage in the areas that you anticipate regular travel. You might find that it is OK for you.

T-Mobile. Cingular customer service sucks. I had cingular and was going out of state, so I tried to get my plan upgraded to no roaming. They refused to do it, so I switched to T-Mobile. When I called to cancel Cingular, all the sudden they were willing to upgrade the plan and do whatever they could. Screw that. I've had T-mobile for 2 years now and have had no problems.

Cingular, they are rated 2nd for the best phone services. I think T-mobile was rated 2nd to the last.

Cingular. I think that phone has better features. But go to both of those websites and see which one do you like better.
