I was a real jerk when breaking things off with my ex (we were engaged) and I feel this need to just say exactly that, and that I'm sorry. Think about it all the time lately. This was four years ago, and we live in different parts of the country now. Should I say anything, or just let sleeping dogs lie?

you should say that you are sorry........ you think about it alot because you really have a good heart and it never hurts to apologise when we do something wrong. You need to apologise for her but you also need to apologise for yourself........

Well that depends on the reason why you guys broke up, if he cheated or something or if you feel that he deserved what he got, then don't call and apoloize because he should be apologizing not you! Try not thinking about it and just letting it go because then he might think you have feelings for him still, us men take things wrong all the time.

I strongly think you should talk to him. Tell him how you feel and I think the both of you, will feel good. He might even apologise!!!
'Dogs dont sleep for ever, you know' so talk to him, Apologise if need be. And take the matter off your system.
Cheers!!

I apologized to my ex and we are now best of friends and can talk about anything. I could have never stayed with him, but being his friend is nice since we were together for so long.

if you feel that strongly about enough not to get some well needed rest then yes, give her a call and spill your guts on the way you feel, not only will you feel 1million times better after that you could go on w/your life

If you feel like you need to apologize then you should...that makes you a bigger person. What have you got to lose??? I think it will make you feel better and be able to move on...
