Does anyone know what the going rate is? I have an MBA from Stanford although it isn't relevant to the work and I am just doing it on the side. Some people told me this work is charged per page and some have said per word. HELP!!!!

It depends on where you're working. If there are tons of people locally who are fluent in both languages, you won't be able to charge high prices. If you're a rarity in your area, you can afford to charge more. I'm an English tutor and I do some editing work on the side. I suggest not setting a price until you've seen the work that needs translating, and then setting a flat rate. It can be a lot harder to translate a legal contract than a brochure, so don't commit to a price until you've seen the level of difficulty.

If you can certify that you are fluent in english an spanish, you can do it yourself. Catholic Charities likely provides this service at a nominal fee.
