I don't know where to hand out my flyers. I don't want people to get angry at me if I put flyers in places that would offend them. Example: I heard comments that you should put flyers in people's mailboxes so they will notice them better, but I also heard that you shouldn't because mailboxes are people's personal property? What now?

You definitely cannot place it in the mailbox-against the law. Do put them up on bulletin boards, Wal Mart, Grocery Stores, Church, etc. Be sure to include your age, experience, rate, if a certain age matters like only ages 3-10 etc., and references available upon request. Do you have any $ saved to put a small ad in your local newspaper. Once you get a couple of regulars, you will be popular, as word of mouth is best. So if you have any that you have babysat for in the past, please call them and ask if they know of anyone needing your service.
