First of all CONGATULAIONS! Just a thought but you may want to have them in the same room for awhile. They have always been together and may be comforted and able to sleep better throught the night if they are not seperated. If you do give them their own rooms I would say a fuzzy yellow for the girl with pink and green accents and for the boy a creamy light green with blue accents. Remember when they get older they will want to change it no matter what, so pick what you like. Best wishes.

Everyone seems to want to have the same things for twins, which is ok when they are babies but they need to find their own identities as they grow up.
I would just paint their rooms a neutral colour like a very pale yellow or cream and just add accents around the room to show which is male and which is female.
As they grow a bit older they will soon find things that interest them, use those to actually decorate the room at a slightly later date.

I am a twin to a boy. My mother put us in seperate cribs but in the same room. Our room consisted of yellows and greens. No pink or blue. This color works well for both. Sugar and spice and everthing nice could be a wonderful theme for the girls room and the boy..........snails and puppy dog tails.
Congrats

I thought the idea about the ABC's and also the two different characters from a Disney movie was really nice! Because they are the "same" yet they are also "different"! Just make sure you have a LOT of colors, they really love that!! Congrats on the twins...

while they are new borns, why not in same room till they are 2?
do the nursery in animals(my sister did noah's ark theme.) it was very cute. all newborns dont care what their room is like except for lots of color and animals. all kids love animals like the zoo.
have you seen extreme make over home edition on tv. they have lots of ideas.
and hgtv has ideas also, look under nursery and see what comes up on computer. get ideas that way.
I would choose animals myself if I could go back 16yr with my daughter's nursery.
congrats on having twins. enjoy them.

Type in baby nursery decorations in the Google search box. A bunch of stuff will come up. That should give you some ideas! How fun!!

Pick 2 characters from the same theme, like tigger for him and pooh for her. Blue Jean Teddy Bear has a girl and a boy theme. Congrats and good luck!

well for the early time you may want to place then in the same room - for your own sanity. make both rooms neutral green & yellow - dress one as a boy the other as a girl - and allow them to form thier own itentity - do not force the boy to play sports and the girl to do dance - she may like soccer - and he may like to read - work with them both equally and let them both find thier own way - but do not seperate them - they are twins & they will have a special bond!!

I would put them in the room together. Twins seem to bond closer than with each other than with other siblings. You can do something that would work with Both like winnie the pooh.
