Vietnam. At least now the troops aren't being sent out on patrol without any ammunition. Many a nights I stood watch with an empty rifle. It didn't really matter; the crap they gave us to fight with would fire a couple of rounds, then jam. We didn't have much in body armor. At least they only have to worry about roadside bombs. Try having to shoot the little kid that the brave Vietcong would send running up to a group of GI's with a live grenade. We didn't lose one or two men at a time; it was usually groups of twenty or thirty. And when we came home we were treated like we were the enemy; they at least are treated like the hero's they are. Oh, and tell supergluestuff that it doesn't matter what you call it people still die.

Iraq, the US never declared war on Vietnam. there was no such thing as the Vietnam war just "Vietnam conflict", so Iraq wins by default

I guess that depends if you're talking to a vietnamese or iraqie. Most stupid war would have to be Iraq, as surely vietnam should have been a lesson.

I always hope that we never have another horrible thing like veitnam..
Although - i beleive that the media coverage was not as censored as it is with iraq...
It is unfortunate that veitnam happen ...
but in my opinion ...
Veitnam was not a Holy war... It was just dumb for us to be there
Iraq is a highly charged religous battle. We have involed ourselves in a war that has been ongoing since the dawn of time...
Therefore.. Iraq has the potential to be much worse than Veitnam which was more a political war..
One thing that i must say .... Please protest the war appropriatly...
Here in Washington State...the protest bastards have started an attack on the soldiers themselves... they go where they are told & it is not fair for us to asign fault to them...
assign fault to the govermental agenda of a anti-semetic government & political agenda of a bible thumper..
I support our troops but i hate the current facist political state of this country.

the three greatest similarities: the clicking grew to become into against the conflict & the regulations of engagement. the clicking each and daily asserting we gained't win inspired defeatism. the regulations of engagement pronounced you couldn’t combat to win. the US government lost the P.R. conflict the two right here & in a foreign country. Police action at suited it is hassle-free to combat to a stalemate. extra human beings die & the conflict final longer.
