LOL, that's a good one. It's all a matter of interpretation. The buzzword is "democracy", when people use that word they can mean either an old fashioned American Style Democracy, or a European style social democracy. Unfortunately since the mid thirties American government has been slowly morphing into the latter. In a social democracy voting is merged with socialist ideology that everyone deserves a "minimum" standard of living. In the older American model people got what they deserved through hard work or not. Success was a prize to be won, not an entitlement to be taken for granted.
It all comes down to ideology, and niether one of the parties is "conservative" in the original American sense of limiting government's power, taxes on the citizens, and preventing a big central authority from dictating to the States or the people. In my opinion, both parties are social democratic parties at their face value, but also elite privilege makers to keep corporate sponsors happy and donating to the campaigns. We have evolved a strange two faced game where politicians try to placate the poor people with programs and the rich with tax shelters, leaving the hard working economic producing classes (middle or not) holding the bag. The only real answer is a hard look at history (which most are scared to take) that inspires a new party that believes in limited government, freedom, and letting individual people sink or swim on their own merits, helped if they need help, by their families and local communities, not uncle sam's big fat pocket book. Happy surfing, I'm out.

Our government for the most part does tell us the truth. It's private institutions that are controlled by communist fronts. For example, if you keep track of the news via the Internet, you will discover that many important news stories never make it into the traditional print and TV news media. And the stuff that gets printed is often distorted or even fabricated. Trace the money back and you always find communists.

With regard to government, many of the movers and shakers in the democratic party have disturbing ties to communists and terrorists.

Also, these people have been infiltrating our colleges and universities and our courts.

Most liberal institutions (ACLU, NOW, NAACP etc.) have ceased championing their respective causes and now only work on issues that further marxism.

Here is a good site that documents these things:

No, it is a proven fact that the Bush administration does not tell the truth. It has been in the news many times that the Bush administration has lied to the public. So why would they start telling the truth now?

I believe that the government is telling us the truth about a lot of things. But I think it does have a lot of secrets and is keeping some things from us that we probably should know.

No, but citizens can not handle the truth. People are better off not knowing sometimes, this prevents chaos. People tend to freak out about things and not telling them is the best way to keep them calm and to keep daily life running smooth. I am not really worried that the government is not telling me everything they know, if I wanted to know that badly, I would be in politics.

NO. People in the government receive HUGE bribes from the FDA to keep things quiet and pass drugs that aren't safe. It's all about money. There's billions of dollars wrapped up in the pharmeceutical companies, and if they have to lie to squeeze the money out of us, they will. They don't really want us to be healthy. Think about it: if everyone was healthy, they wouldn't make money. So they keep us sick.

WE SHOULD ALL STOP USING MEDS AND GO TO AN ALL-NATURAL CURE SYSTEM...FRUITS, VEGGIES, AND HERBS, BABY! THE ONLY PROVEN METHOD TO HEAL THE HUMAN BODY!

Truth as they want us to see it.
I do not think any government tells truth no matter what type of government runs it.
They protect themselves and us or else we would always be in a chaotic state.
