well i to was overweight and all you have to do is find some things that you like and get healthier alternatives to them like i eat alot of cookies and the only thing i did was to find other types of cookies like gram crackers and granola bars ,and i also stopped eating ranch sauces and mayo, and ketchup i discovered that condiments are alot of extra calories and just by doing these little things and walking a little more i have lost about 50lbs. in a 7mo.period it takes time but unless you want surgery it is well worth it.

Alright, first off, avoid eating out at all costs. Don't snack! If you do, at least make it low calorie foods, like lettuce, no dressing, celery, peanutbutter, apples, carrots, tomatos, peas, brocolli, cauliflow, bell peppers, grapes, pears, watermelon, cantalope, honeydew melons or other vegitable and fruits which don't contain starches and large quantities of sugar. Also avoid all dips, condaments, sauces, and gravies. A good idea is to also eat slowly, once you feel that you are satisfied stop, don't keep eating till the point where you are full, if you are sated then stop. This will curb your calorie intake as well. Another good idea is to reduce your bleached flower intake. No white bread, no white rolls, only whole-grains. This will increase your fiber intake, which has been shown to help reduce fat consumption in the body. It can also help clear up plaque in the blood stream, now if you don't know what that is, it's mono-saturied fats like the bad form of cholesterol. Another thing, increase your exercise amounts. If you already exercise for thirty minutes a day, try doubling it, or even tripling it. Now if you are not exercising much, and you don't have the time to set aside every day, I have a few good ideas for you. You'll need aerobic exercise, and without the time, there are a few things you should try. Park a couple blocks from work, about fifteen minutes each way. This will give you a good walk to work, and another back to your car. Take the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator. Walk if you are only going a few blocks, no need to be wasting gas with prices as high as they are today. If all else fails, and you can't seem to shed the weight, then I suggest you talk to your doctor. Also if you are one to have heart problems, I suggest you ask your doctor what is appropriate exercises for you. If you have diabetes, ask your doctor before changing your diet, and always watch your blood sugar. Other than these I can't think of what else could help other than gastric bypass surgery, or a stomach staple.

i've been where you are, hon and it's tough to stop snacking! but here's the thing. just imagine what you're going to look like when you're done! i'm still losing b/c i want to lose more. i lost fourty already. the slim fast diet is good. plus i'm trying to cut out noodles/pizza and such things. breads. a lot of carbs there. also greasy fast food. if you eliminate that you're good to go. of course, exercise is always a plus as well. since i hurt my foot i haven't been able to do much of that though and still losing from the dieting! let me know how it works out!! :) God bless ya
and thanks for the 10 point answer before too. :)

Cut out all sugary and oily things. Snack on vegatables and low fat things such as crackerbreads, or fruit. Eat as much salad as you can when your hungry but you should know what to eat and what not to eat. Cut out all chocolate, chips anything sugary at all. Grill everything you would otherwise fry. Good luck! Also exercise as much as possible. Swimming is great for losing weight and toning your body.

I would suggest to get rid of all the junk food in your house.
Go to an organic super market.. I recommend Whole Foods.
They have great foods, such as chips. They are still a bit fattening, but not as bad as.
Don't starve yourself.
Drink water and tea. No soda.
Excersise!!
