You call me Cracker or Honky, but if called you the N word (it blocks it out on here, but you know what it is), you'd call me racist.
You have Black History Month, but if we had a White History Month, you'd call it racist.
You have the United ***** College Fund, that gives scholarships to only black students, but if we had a United Caucasian College Fund, that gave scholarships to only white students, you'd call it racist.
You have the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People), but if we had NAAWP (National Association for the Advancement of White People), you'd call it racist.
You have BET (Black Entertainment Television), but if we had WET (White Entertainment Television), you'd call it racist.
You stand up and say that you are black, and you are proud of that.
I will stand up and say that I am white, and I am proud of that, but you call me racist.
Why is it that only whites can be racist?

For starters, this "you" stuff has to come to a screeching halt! I'm sorry to disappoint you, but not all Black people promote and/or endorse the beliefs that you have outlined. And no, Whites are not the only racists in this world. You have racists of all colors--black, white, brown...heck I can go on and on!

Oh, and just as a response to some of your statements:

I, for one, do not believe in racial pride. I feel that we all should just be happy to be alive and well.

If you would review your history, you would know that the NAACP was formed at a time when minorities had little to no rights and privileges; therefore, it is not something that has just come about and there was a valid reason for its creation. (Actually, the same goes for the UNCF. Do you really think it was created just for the purpose of distributing cash to Blacks? No, it was greatly needed!)

History has also shown that many of the achievements of Blacks have gone unmentioned and/or ignored, which is the reason why we have Black History month. (The majority isn't the only group that has made history, has it? If you take a look at some old history books, it sure seems that way.)

Personally, I am not a fan of BET; however, I do feel that its programming has brought somewhat of a balance to broadcast television. (Meaning, a great number of TV shows features Whites as opposed to Blacks/other minorities. Let's just say that BET brings a little more color into America's TV sets.)

Anyone who would have the nerve to call you or any other White individual a "honky" is a complete and total idiot. (Conversely, the same goes for those who like to throw the "n-word" around.)

Okay, I'm done...

I think for one there are a lot more of us than them. Being racist is a point of view. If you were black, it would look like the white person had it made. If you look into higher ups in companies, who do they compose of? They are mainly white males. This is still a white male dominated society and I am a white male and I see that. I could see why the black person would want their own TV station because when you turn on the TV who is present? Mainly white people, on soap ops, on commercials, movies and sit-coms. I think they are more for equal representation, not just equal rights. They have to be equally represented in any given sample of the population. Just because we don't have a WET and White History Month doesn't mean that we would be racist if we did. But it's not necessary. We are equally represented in every aspect of our lives.

I agree with you 100% and there is a term for what you are talking about-its called reverse racism. I am so sick that every time a black person is shot by a white cop all you hear are black people saying if he'd been white he would never have been shot!! How damn ridiculous is that?? I wish I had half the rights that black people do today-it would make life a lot easier!!!

Everyone is racist in a way. "White" people have every right that everyone else has and some. I think that your question is ignorant. People in general stress such unimportant things in life. What a joke! That whole BET/WET thing, most of the shows seen on t.v. are based on white background families. ABC, FOX, CBS, the lists goes on and on are white influenced channel. BET is one channel influenced by the "blacks" in a sea full of other channels. Let them have their freedom that is well deserved. We live in the land of oppurtunity. If you don't like it then move.

Whites didn't have to endure what blacks had to. You were born with privilages that blacks to this day do not have. Your argument is not valid because if you do the research, you will find that you do have the equal of all the things you mentioned. Do the research!!!
