I am starting a round of cephalexin, and was planning on attending a suspension event this saturday (body suspension with fishooks.), and was wondering if there were any possible negative reactions that could be caused by my suspending while on the antibiotics (if my body is having no other negative side effects to the medication).

as i said, i seem to be experiencing no other complications.
the suspension itself is very safe and hygenic...i'm hanging with a reputable group, who makes every effort to ensure proper sanitation procedure..i have no worries about complications from the actual suspension.

well check with the dr - the opening of new wounds even if surgically while on antibiotics cannot be a good way to help the antibiotics work!

It's doubtful, if anything the antibiotics will help you in case you get an infection from hanging your body from a fishhook. That's kind of weird, by the way.

I'm a nurse and see no complications from suspending. However, antibiotics in themselves can cause secondary infections. Check with your doctor.

the antibiotics will probably help you out I mean having a bunch of hooks looped through your body while you hang around is not actually the cleanliest aseptic thing to do. the antibiotics should help any sort of foreign floating stuff that may settle in your wounds. please make sure the hooks are disposable. enjoy yourself

OK, so what do you do if you're hanging, suspended by a hook and you get a raging case of diarrhea? Antibiotics can definitely cause that!!

Take pepto bismol, consume yogurt and stay faraway from sugary chocolates, candy, soda, dairy and fried meals. Pepto bismol makes your poop dark so are not getting scared... end your anti or the bacteria will evolve grow to be immune and than come back 10times worse...

the most important factor would be to determine if the antibiotic causes blood thining...
If it does - complications will occur
if not ... i would say that it will be a safty measure for the practice you will attempt....
call a pharmacist & ask

You should be ok with suspending. You must call your doctor if you want to be sure.
