I do not know why, but yes chocolate does help. Eating a little each day for about 3 days before starting your period helps. Caffeine does help me. If you have a lot of bleeding with your period talk to your Gynecologist about a DNC. It is a surgical procedure where they scrape the uterus. Since it is a surgery then you should consider all other options first. Also Ibuprofen helps as long as you do not have kidney or liver problems. Drinking fluids can help but try to avoid extra salt. A heating pad can help too.

When I don't eat foods with vit. E, and did not supplement myself with B complex and calcium with proper proportion of magnesium and vit D, I experience that. If I have prepared myself of the coming situation everyday, nourishes myself, I don't experience menstrual cramps.
