It means you are willing to spend the rest of your life with the person you love and would do anything for them, no matter what the cost.

I have answered this question before, and I have been told that it was a good answer so I will repost it, and the question that spawned it.

Question: How would you define love in your own words? And what's the difference (In your opinion) between love and romance?

Answer: Love, thats a hard one. It is so simple to feel yet so hard to explain. To me love is many things, but I would have to say that when you Love sombody truly, your love for them outstrips your NEED for them. When you're infatuated with sombody you just want to be with them. When you love sombody you just want whats best for them. That is the closest thing that I can think of. Romance on the other hand is a feature of love, it's like leather seats in a car (sort of) the seats are part of the car but they don't make the car what it is. (wow is this a guy's answer or what). Romance is a component of lasting love, but it doesn't define it and it will not be ever-present in a long lasting relationship there will be ups and downs. The key is to build somthing with sombody that can survive the dry times. I hope this answer helps.
