If a person has half a brain, they should be able to decipher a fictional GAME from reality. I play some violent games... do I beat my children, run people off the road, murder in cold blood? NO. Because I have morals.
Instead of banning violent games, people should become responsible for making intelligent choices. There is too much blame being put on the games and not on the idiots who cannot decipher reality from fiction.

No.
Games with excessive violence is categorized Mature Audeinces. Kids cannot buy the game from the store. Although kids play the games (GTA etc), it was their parent's desicion. Parents have the right to decide wich video games you can play, and wich you can't. It's just a video game.
When adults get the game, MOST do not act out violently in real life. You might see a headline in the news "Local GTA Addict Kills 10 People". That's one person. (Most of the time, the person was already crazy) The news station makes it sound like EVERYONE who gets the game is going to turn crazy. This is the same for sexual predators online and such.
I do, however, think that the amount of violence should be minumized. When you shoot someone in GTA, 5 billion gallons of blood does not need to come out of their arm (lol).

No. It is because violent games are not that violent like in real life. Ratings exist for a reason. Just don't imitate the killings and terrorism in a violent video game. Actually, I am a violent games fan.

No. There are ratings on games however many people ignore the ratings and I've seen young 10 year old kids playing games as violent as GTA. The ratings should be stricter to protect the little kids and making it so young kids cannot buy them nor can a parent unless they know what video game they are buying for their kids.

yes, because no one needs that kind of violence..children or adults. Adults that play those games are more likely to act out aggressively.
