when a man complements me or comes on to me, why do I feel stressed, sad, nervous, and just plain bad inside? It used to make me feel good. But now I hate it.

I know what you mean. I hate it too. Perhaps you've had one or a few bad relationships in your past. It's possible that your response to these men remind you of characteristics you weren't particularly fond of in your previous affairs. Men, on the other hand, can at times be extremely womanizing and even 'demeaning' in their method of approach. Don't be hard on yourself. It's probably just your intuition telling you when a guy simply isn't your type. If you find you're turned off by something a man says or does, don't question your reaction. Go with your feelings and act as you would normally. When the right man comes around you'll respond to him accordingly :).

Take care.

I believe you are getting older and maybe you want more.. B/c of past experiences you know how the story ends. Maybe you are at a point in your life where you want to know that for yourself and not from a man with possible ulterior motives.
