Most rabbits live to be 10 years old. I have had one live to be 15 years old so I guess it depends on how good you take care of it.

The average age of all rabbits is 7 to 8 years, and 10 years isn't unusual.

However, many rabbits die at 3 or 2 or even 1 year of age, particularly through digestive problems, because their digestive systems are very long and fragile, and it's important that they are fed correctly -

And analogously, there are rabbits at the opposite extreme of the 'average' spectrum, who live up to 15 years or even older. According to the Guinness Book of Records, the oldest bunn (in Australia by the way ;) lived to 18 years and 10 months -

We personally know a breeder who had the oldest bunn we have ever known as yet, who lived to 12 years of age :)

Rabbits can live from 5-10 years. They ARE NOT "stinky," if one cleans their cage and litterboxes properly. Check out rabbit.org for more info, and good luck!
