Most states are part of a compact that gives repricocity between the states. You might get away with it for a while, but eventually Nebraska will be after you to get their money. It will cost less for you to take care of it now.

You may face issues from higher auto insurance premiums to problems renewing you driver's license, not to mention a warrant from Nebraska, which NY police could arrest you for. My best advice is to pay it so you don't have to worry about it.

If the two states have a reciprocity agreement then yes it will show up in your New York record and they can get you there.
You can run but you cannot hide.
Pay the ticket. It's for a good cause. You may prevent some bigger fool from killing someone.

Nebraska will suspend your license in New York, for fail to appear or pay, big hassle if you don't go to court or pay.

no, a state cant collect on behalf of the fed or other states. its not a serious enough offense to extradite. it will be on your record the next time insurance looks you up to determine your rate.
