Mainly just stretch, and drink lots of water on your hike. If you can run a couple of laps around your bock to get you ready for the actual hike. Do stretches to help relax your mussels, and drink lots of water to keep you hydrated. Some good stretches would be a V-sit, lunges, and pretty much anything to stretch you legs, and lower back.
Have fun on your hike.

Being skinny is on your side for one,but to get into shape you need your leg tone muscles in shape. You need to do stretch exercises along with running, and for carrying a back pack or anything like that i would do any kind of push ups for the arm strength.Hope this helped, have a wonderful and safe trip.Best Wishes!

Pack up a back pack, put it on and walk around the block a few times, or hit a bike trail if you have one in your neighborhood. Do this daily until you are ready to leave for your trip.
You'll probably be skinnier by the time you get back. Or at least more fit.
