Coming to the US; Very strict INS questioning, references needed, they call your references, family, friends, eveyrthing you say has to match with what they find or you get denied. You may even have all that but if they feel you are being untruthful or suspicious in any way, or even have a connection with someone who is dealing in illegal activies, not only do you not get citizenship, you also get investigated yourself before you leave....if they let you leave. Especially now with terrorism. We have to be more than careful.

Nothing. As a US Citizen you can marry whoever you choose. Now, if you're a U.S. citizen with top secret clearances, or work in sensitive areas of the government, then ...yeah... not a good idea to marry a non-US Citizen...as this can jeopardize your immediate and future clearance status. Check with your clearance officers or administrative persons.
From a legal standpoint, if you're marrying the person in their country, then you're very likely going to have to follow their laws and customs. Those will vary from country to country.
If you're marrying someone who's not a US Citizen here in the USA, then your requirements will vary from State-to-State...but it shouldn't be different than marrying a US Citizen. If you're marrying someone because they're about to get deported...then the INS can likely look into the length of your relationship and all the details surrounding the circumstances leading up to marriage...if they can prove you're only doing it to keep the person from getting deported/repatriated... then you're not going to be able to marry.
So, there are no differences. This happens all the time. It just depends on the circumstances or if you're in another country.

Try the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. They used to be called INS (Immigration and Naturalization Services), but now they're part of the Dept of Homeland Security. There are many steps involved, and it can be a harrowing experience trying to bring a fiance/spouse here.

I am german and married an american back in 1996 (so I am sure there has been some changes) I had to go apply for a temp green card during this process we had to spend a few $$$ on filling fees etc..., then I had to go take an aids and tb test, we went thru a couple of interview processes, one us seperated and one with both of us in the room, then I got my temp (2 year) green card after it expiered I had to file more paperwork (more $$$) and became a perman. resid. which has to be renewed every 10 years (unless I go and apply to become an american citic.) hope this answered your question.

I married a non citizen and helped him go thru the 1thousand dollar (cost) immigration status change and I ended up getting !@#$@# in the end. Protect yourself in everyway. Get a lawyer, do something like a pre-nup; Trust me. An immigrant will do anything to gain citizenship!!

A lot of paper work!!! Check with the government where you live and where this other person lives. They will probably need to become a US citizen.

S.. are you able to look after your self right here now, without help from acquaintances and family contributors? you could think of so, yet are you able to pay for all your expenses? the respond is possibly no. What makes you think of you could gain this in yet another united states? you could have particular permissions to artwork or learn in different worldwide places, too. without which you lower back face criminal matters and/or fall prey to jobs which will money in on the very undeniable fact which you would be able to no longer legally artwork and money in on you. I propose you reside calm, proceed to be the place you're till y ou turn 18. Then, you could circulate someplace else on your state or interior the U. Hypothetically speaking, I would think you'd have to find someone you love enough to want to spend the rest of your life with... and then sod the bureaucracy!
