Let's say two people are talking and they say "Look at that (race here) girl over there" she gets offended. Why? I mean why are people offended for who they are?If you are an Italian, you are an Italian or if you are German, you are German..etc etc.. Why do you get offended? If they had said you are wearing a red shirt and you are, you wouldn't get offended right? So why does it offend you to be called who you are? I think people are way too sensitive about this issue in the United States. I am from a different country as well and it never offends me. I mean I do realize if this person was White, it wouldn't be said in the conversation, it would just be girl/boy, but Whites are the majority in the U.S, it's just a fact. Why does it make us racist or ignorant? It shouldn't because everyone is who they are. They shouldn't be super sensitive and get offended. I don't think there is ANY belittling involved here. People should just get over it.
