For those of yo who have been to UK what food (if any) did you enjoy

Never been in England, but in Dublin I liked Fish'n Chips mostly. There is somekind of a Fish'n Chips "Fastfood" restaurant at the East Pier (or West Pier) .. cant remember. GREAAAAAAAAAAAT TASTE !!!! Also i did enjoy British Style Breakfast. Ham'n Eggs and Saussage

Hi Stevie,
first of all, "Frikadellen" is something totally different to "Mettbrötchen"; the only common part is that both are hash meat. Frikadellen are made of mixed hash from prok- and beef, seasoned with salt, pepper, some ketchup, chopped onions. You then roll small balls and deepfry them in the frying pan.
Whereas "Mettbrötchen" is ALWAYS raw hash meat from beef, seasoned with salt & pepper, served on a German breadroll called Brötchen, topped with some fresh onionrings. As to your question about my likes / dislikes of english kitchen: I liked chicken sandwiches but hated the rest (sorry)

Och chicken and chips + fish and chips were so tasty! and beans on toast was some food I hated...

i`ve been there. but i can`t remember the typical british food.
but i like fish.... i`ve been eaten it in a nice restaurant in seaham... close to newcastle... that was very good.

scotsh, whiskey and other alcoholic drinks, but your beer taste like and smells like shit.

I Like Fish and Chips very much, also good Steaks, some Pies and Lagerbeer ;-) and: Wine from Kent...

fish & chips are nice, scones with jam and apple crumble are also very yummy, jacket potato with grated cheese and whatever else, lamb with mint sauce or gelly is also very good and I also like a good old farmhouse cheddar or a stilton with water biscuit.
actually I know most of these things from a British friend here in Germany. What I would love to try some time is the Indian food you get in the UK - according to my friend it's very different from what you get here in Germany and much better!
