a) The new cost is $1,182.00

Wood $400 X 1.28 = $512
Metal $200 X 1.25 = $250
Paint $50 X 0.90 = $45
Labour $250 X 1.50 = $375
Total = $1,182.00

b) 1,182 / 900 = 1.313333

Initial costs of table = 400+200+50+250 = 900

Increment as follows : -

Wood = 400 x 128% = 512
Metal = 200 x 125% = 250
Paint = 50 x 90% = 45
Labour = 250 x 150% = 375

(a) New Costs = 512+250+45+375
= 1182
(b) Increase of costs of table = (1182 - 900)/900 x 100
= 282/900 x 100
= 31.33%
