Can you tell me where the ship is heading for?
是這樣問嗎?
因為補習班的老師說where是地方副詞已經有包含介係詞了所以後面不加\"for\"
他還說就算要加也是加to(外國老師也這麼說)
但是學校老師說head for是不可分片語一定要加(課本也是打這樣)
所以 到底怎麼用 有人知道請幫我解釋一下 謝謝^^

這是一個間接問句，可還原
1.Can you tell me?
2.Where is the ship heading for?
for 不可省
The ship is heading for Hawaii.
在地點下畫線造問句 ^^^^^^^
原問句就是你打的Where is the ship heading for?
head 當動詞用為朝一個固定方向前進
head for 就是 "直達"的意思
把for拿掉意思可是有差的喔!!
He is heading out of the classroom.他直接離開教室
The train heads for Taipei. 火車直達台北

head當動詞用表示到哪個地方時為不及物動詞故要加地點要用tohead to 跟 head for 都是存在的只是意思不同...別搞混了
