Analysis of variance (ANOVA) with repeated measures
was utilized to examine the interactions between groups (EG
and CG), legs (left and right), and pre–post-treatment (electroacupuncture
or control period). If a significant interaction
was detected, Bonferroni adjustment was applied in posthoc
analysis to compare the mean values. An alpha level of
0.05 was set for statistical significance. These statistical
analyses were performed using SPSS software, version 11.5
(Chicago, IL). The descriptive data of mean, standard deviation,
confidence interval, and effect size are reported.
