2. The song is composed/wirtten by British Mike Oldfield,
in memory of John Lennon.
It appeared in Oldfield's 1983 album "Crises" and performed by
the Scottish singer Maggie Reilly.
On the back, you can find the introductory note for this singer.
The girl mentioned in the lyrics is no doubt Lennon's American-Japanese
wife Yoko Ono.
On Dec 8, 1980, in the evening, when Lenon, after a recording session,
returned to his home which is around the Central Park, Manhattan, New York,
a guy from some dark corner called out "Mr. Lennon" and shot 6 times at him
in front of the building. Lennon was dead in the car rushing to the hospital.
According to Police, the suspect Mark David Chapman, 25, from Honolulu (Hawaii),
is a fan of The Beatles, especially of John Lennon, and with split/dual personality.
