關於雪梨大學的傳播系所

大家好! 在這邊有幾個關於USYD的問題，想請問各位!
1. USYD的文科還不錯，而我有想過要申請他的傳播研究所
master of media practice (by coursework)，會很偏重理論嗎？
課程介紹說這門課是專門設計給非本科系上的。
老實說，我已經有拿到RMIT的傳播offer。不過在台灣工作，
USYD應該較有名氣吧？
2. 在雪大(camperdown)附近，房租大約都多少？200澳幣/per week
算是普便嗎？
3. 這個課程是1year full time! 公佈的正式開課為2月底，結束為11月
底，所以正確來說，應該是9個月吧！上完後還會要測驗之類的
嗎？(依各大學的經驗而言)

1. coursework是您自己要去做研究及收集資料的課程,既然您已有工作經驗,應該更能駕輕就熟,呈現自己的工作心得在其中,

2. 在雪大(camperdown)附近，房租大約200-300澳幣/per week,如果與他人分租房子或公寓樓,房租方面可以省一些,一般房租可以算週租的,所以可以騎馬找馬,先有住的地方,不滿意再找即可!
學校宿舍可以評估看看,有的比外面租屋貴!

因camperdown已靠近市區,房租自然較貴,如果您不嫌遠,可以到約10個火車站名的距離看看,每個地區都有仲介公司,或是學校內也會有佈告欄找分租的學生,可以試試看!

3.這個課程是by coursework,一般只要你論文通過,應無其他測驗,不過您可以向你的課程advisor請教!

基本上，除了應該完成的"作業"或是"功課",
by coursework是需要繳交論文的, 與by research的論文只是研究內容及方法的不同！
當然,您仍可與您的指導教授請教,看您的課程最後需要繳交的內容為哪方面主題!

不清楚在雪大附近租房子的價格
不過 以現在雪黎的房價來看 200澳幣/per week是租不到什麼房子
除非是分租吧!! 現在房價一直在漲!!!

As this course is essentially focused on the candidates who has no
experience in the filed of media. In my personal opinion, all candidates
are expected to improve his/her knowledge and skills through the
literature at the beginning of course.
Afterward, the practical learning maybe involved due to your selection
of major.

Furthermore, you should focus on the feedback after training,
“not only the ranking of university”.
Of course, the University of Sydney has better ranking compared to
RMIT due to the factors such as history, resource supply and so on.
However, RMIT is better in practical learning from quite a lot of
student’s mind in Australia. Therefore, it is your choice.

2.
Yes, if you are going to share with other people, the rent is will around
AUS$120-200 (per week).
In contrast, if you prefer to rent a studio or 1 unit bedroom in
Sydney city or somewhere close to study location.
In this case, the payment may range from AUS$250-500 per week
(depends on geographical location in NSW).

3.
Once you have completed the course, there is no additional
examination. Unless there are some majors required the candidates to
pass the observation assessment (you need to double check on it).

Additionally, you need to pass the examination in order to pass the
subject.
