Since the advent of AASL's principales(1998),studies have been concerned mainly as efforts of the association to implement those princuples,usually on the state orregional level (LeLoup,2000).Concurrently,the research literature on factors that have an impact that have an on student achievement has dramatically increased in quantity and diversity,now drawing from reading,technology, developmental studies,sociology,and so on.Probably the most well-known studies are krashen's(2001,1993)literature review and his research on reading;on the other end of the reading spectrum stands the Nation Reading Panel literature of empirical research on reading instruction(Nation Institute of Child Health and Human Development,2000).
