If I knew和 If I had known的差別在那呢 ? -----
這兩者都是與"事實相反的假設語氣"用法,但差別是:
1."if I knew"是"與現在事實相反的假設語氣",表示此刻的我"要是知道的話,我就會...",但實際上我並不知道---
If I knew his number now, I would phone hime. 要是我現在知道他的電話號碼,我就會打給他(但實際上我現在沒他的電話)
2."if I had known"是"與過去事實相反的假設語氣",表示過去某個時點的我"要是那時候知道的話,我那時就會...",但實際上那時我並不知道---
If I had known his number yesterday, I would have phoned him. 要是我昨天知道他的電話,我那時就打給他了(但事實上我昨天沒他的電話,所以也沒打給他)
註:與過去事實相反假設語氣可以和表示過去時間的時間副詞連用.
